Course Description:
ADAPTAGEARâ„¢ in partnership with KMI is proud to offer 3TMC Tactical Medicine. During the first half of the course, students are introduced to the essentials of Operational Medicine along with an overview of Anatomy and Physiology. With a focus on traumatic accidents, active shooters, bombings, and/or other terrorist-type scenarios, 3TMC students will learn to use 3TMC medical kits to successfully treat the three leading causes of preventable combat death: extremity hemorrhage, tension pneumothorax and airway obstruction.
In the second half, we go a step further and introduce students to Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI’s) from the First Responder’s point of view. Using the 3TMC method, students learn a streamlined and effective approach to dealing with various types of MCI’s. Utilizing scenario-based training with simulated wounds, role players, force-on-force, and other environmental controls; students are provided with a multi-dimensional learning experience.
